Dr. Rafiq Sandeelvi is renowned contemporary Urdu poet whose poems are appreciated for their creative texture, complexity of poetic experience and freshness of perspective. He has developed his own style through metaphor, symbol and imagery. The use of animal imagery shows the poet's emotional connection with primitive man and his nature, which has created new levels of meaning in his poems. He also deserves special attention in revealing the mental and existential conditions of modern and postmodern man.
