Dhanpat Rai Shrivastave (1880-1936) better known by his pen name Munshi prem Chand, was an Indian writer famous for his modren Hindi Literatura.He wrote novels and shortstories.Prem Chand in his novels Gosha-e-Afiat, Gaudan, Medane-e-Aml and Chogan-e-Hasti described the terrible socio economic conditions of farmers under feudals. In those novels mention of feudals,poor farmers, laborers and working class are present.The sourse of economy is agriculture but industry and mills are also present.This research article explore the economic condition ,these are mentioned by Prem Chand in his novels.
