Urdu and English Alphabets: Research Analysis

This research analysis explains the structural, phonetic, and historical aspects of the English and Urdu Alphabets. It highlights their similarities and differences. The 26 English alphabets, derived from the Latin script. In contrast, the Urdu alphabets, derived from Arabic, Persian and other languages having phonetic-based pronunciation system. The direction of writing also differs between these languages. English is written from left to right and Urdu from right to left. Furthermore, English have a combination of vowels and consonants to construct diverse phonetic sounds, while Urdu has additional diacritical marks for the purpose of pronunciation accuracy. This study examines the linguistic and phonological similarities and differences implications of these differences, by shedding light on this question how the structural properties of each alphabet influence literacy, pronunciation, and linguistic expression? This research analysis aims to provide a deeper understanding of the role played by the alphabet language, communication, and cultural identity.
