Abstract

This research article delves into the literary contributions of Dr Ibadat Brelvi, a renowned figure in Urdu literature, specifically focusing on his pen sketches. Dr Brelvi’s work offers a unique window into the socio-cultural and political landscape of the subcontinent, particularly during the tumultuous period of the Partition. His pen sketches are not merely artistic portrayals but are rich in historical and cultural references, capturing the essence of the time.

The primary aim of this study is to explore and analyse the references to the Partition found within Dr Brelvi’s sketches.
