"Raja gidh". Philosophy in the Context of Halal and Haram: A Special Study

Abstract

This paper covers the symbolic, character, social, and religious interpretations of Banu Qudsia novel Raja Gidh. Its popularity can be estimated from the fact that 32 editions have been published since 1981. This novel deals with character, psychological, symbolic, social, and moral themes, including madness, mental chaos, despair, loneliness, indifference, negative and positive experiences, sacrifice, respect for humanity, halal sustenance, self-defeat, moral decay, human and mental and intellectual evolution, psychology of the individual, integration of religion and civilization, the existence of Sufism and spirituality, and all such diverse topics are covered. In this paper, the psychological, social, civilized, and character effects of disorders like insanity have been analyzed due to the loss of moral and spiritual powers of man due to wrongly obtained sustenance in the novel.
