Abstract

‘Prison’ is one of the most important themes in the Urdu literature. Many of the writers has selected ‘Prison’ as the subject of their fictions; and portrayed numerous captive characters. In the thematic study of the Udru fiction under consideration, the subjects related to imprisonment have been included, especially those associated with ‘prison’ and ‘captive characters’. The current article disclosed how a common character have been caught into prison by facing such tough circumstances and finally became a prisoner. After being a prisoner, how much he struggles by facing the problems of prison.
