Abstract

Javed Anwar is one of those poets who established his own identity under the influence of modern poetry and made poetry the basis of life. The structural effects of Western poetry can be clearly felt on Javed Anwar's poem. Some of his poems are written in the form of cantos. In his poems, the loneliness of the individual, the meaninglessness of life, social exploitation and the unemployment of the individual are expressed. In the first collection, the scope of social oppression revolving around the individual reaches to the British and American brutality until the last collection, but all these elements do not cause despair in his poems, but until the end, hope and a positive point of view are grasped by the reader. The atmosphere of Javed Anwar's poems is formed by urban life and its accessories. Cities have always been remembered as symbols of enlightenment, progress and courage, but in modern times, the life of cities has changed completely.
